Long Island is a large, densely populated island in southeastern New York, extending east from New York City. It features beautiful Atlantic coastlines, including Jones Beach State Park, Fire Island, and Montauk Point State Park, home to the historic Montauk Lighthouse from the late 1700s. On the east end, the North Fork is known for its wineries, while the Hamptons offer upscale homes, trendy restaurants, and antique shops.
